Featuring 2000 seats, the impressive retractable seating system provides the ability to play in “theatre mode”, concert mode for 2200 and “banquet mode” for 550. The multi-use venue will also prove popular as a special event or conference venue due to its location within the 8 hectare West HQ destination, also home to Novotel Sydney West HQ, the Olympic standard Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre, One 55 Health and Fitness, Sydney West Sports Medicine, Rooty Hill RSL and Zone Bowling. The exciting leisure destination currently welcomes an annual foot traffic of over 3million people a year, a figure that will increase dramatic when the Sydney Coliseum Theatre opens its doors from December 12 to thousands of entertainment-seekers.
A new standard of entertainment for Greater Western Sydney
The programming offering at Sydney Coliseum Theatre will be diverse ranging from classic and contemporary arts content from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company, Sydney Philharmonia and Sydney Youth Orchestras through to live music concerts and family entertainment such as The Australian Ballet’s Storytime Ballet and Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus.
Recently announced acts for the December Gala Opening include an exclusive collaboration between Australia’s very own swing-king David Campbell and Sydney Symphony Orchestra on Dec 12 & 13, Tina Arena live in concert on 14th & 15th, Dame Edna My Gorgeous Life on the 18th & 9th, John Butler on the 20th and world-superstar Keith Urban and Friends on Saturday Dec 21 as the Grand Opening.

Careful planning and preparation has gone into hand selecting state of the art auditorium sound featuring the L’Acoustics Hyperreal L-ISA system, audiences will be able to experience “immersive sound” – something truly unique as they are enveloped in the sound, surrounded by 60 speakers throughout the auditorium.
